BUSINESS ACCELERATION PROGRAM (BAP)

 

For two decades Athletic Republic has been developing performance sports training programs that seamlessly integrate science and sports. The Business Acceleration Program (BAP) was designed to share the best practices developed by our global training center network in a structured process that will guide you through the start-up phase and help you make good business decisions prior to opening.  BAP is organized as a series of week-by-week activities that typically runs the 18 - 26 weeks, from franchise signing to training center opening, and includes the following elements:

Site Selection and Design Consultation - Our analysis of real estate metrics and experience in site selection guides you when choosing facility location, training center size and negotiating your lease terms. We also provide the expertise to build out the training center floor plan and maximize the athlete branded experience.

Equipment Selection - In addition to Athletic Republic proprietary training and technology equipment, we have national account relationships with training equipment manufacturers that can match your service offering and training center look. 

Trainer Education - Our 4,000 pages of training protocols are organized by an athlete's physical development and the skills required to play their sport and position. In order to deliver this one-of-a-kind training experience, we provide on-line education, classroom and on-site training in an Athletic Republic training center so you and your trainers learn how to apply the athlete training protocols, understand equipment operations, schedule staff and manage athlete flow through the center.

Business Planning and Financial Modeling - Establishing an annual business plan and operating budget are key tools for measuring key performance indicators (ratio of rent to revenue, average athletes per trainer session, lead generation and contract conversion, athletes per open hour to meet breakeven target, etc.) and financial position.  We'll provide you with the Athletic Information Management System (AIMS) software to manage the center, along with the economic model to help you make qualified assumptions for training center capacity, hours of operation, top line revenue and operating expenses.

Athlete Information Management System (AIMS) - AIMS is a web-based resource designed to capture, measure and report operating efficiency and facility utilization. It provides your training center the ability to centralize all scheduling functions (athlete, trainer and equipment), manage sales and athlete contracts, analyze marketing programs, and capture performance results while storing it in an individual athlete's private locker, within the Athletic Republic Locker Room.

Operations Management - Operating a successful training center requires a capable well-trained staff, a product and service offering that meets the needs of the athletic community based on the time of year and individual Athlete Assessment, a sales and marketing plan that connects with the target audience and drives business across the center's entry threshold, and an experience that delvers results in an environment that reflects our brand attributes. The BAP process teaches you how to run the business of sports training.

Sales and Marketing Support - We provide every new franchise with a Brand Playbook, collection of marketing materials and sales training resources to support your local community outreach efforts while building towards your training center's opening. Your franchise comes with a marketing starter kit, so you can start flying the company colors; our Sales Protocol Manual to explain the mechanics of selling through retention, referral and customer acquisition strategies; a search engine optimized website loaded with key content to drive new sales leads along with plenty of space so you can localize your online presence; access to our marketing solutions catalog where you’ll find everything from business cards to banners and best practices to promotional items; and affiliations with agency partners (public relations, creative design and production, website and video production),  alliance partners (Panasonic, Gatorade and Nike) and association partners (All-American Bowl, Football University, USA Hockey, Hockey East).
