June 2nd, 2008, New Braunfels, TX: The most recent facility to join the Athletic Republic network opened with the vision of owners and operators Alex and Rene Urteaga. They saw the opportunity to bring the science-based Performance Sports training protocols to local athletes.

 A “soft” opening took place on June 2nd, where local coaches and athletic trainers toured the facility, viewed a demonstration, and learned about Athletic Republic Performance Training. This event drew of crowd of over 60 sport leaders.

The official grand opening was Friday, June 13th, and the Chamber of Commerce was present for the formal ribbon cutting. The even was featured on live local radio and press. The audience topped 90 people, attended by the New Braunfels business community and even the San Antonio Spurs mascot stopped by.

Additionally, on June 9th, Olympian Jeff Galloway gave a clinic on the “Science of Running” to over 80 participants. Athletic Republic, New Braunfels, plans to hold another clinic next month and invites athletes from every sport to attend and tour their facility.

      “Having a series of opening events and activities over a period of time was a great way for Alex and Rene to reach out to their entire community. These events were well-attended and were a great way to spread the good news that Athletic Republic is open to help local athletes’ performance.”
