When people ask about Athletic Republic, we often discuss the competitive advantage athletes who train with us earn through consistency and commitment to our individualized approach to their development. But perhaps the real advantage the athletes have is access to the numerous talented business managers and performance sports trainers available to them in our network.

We asked several of our accomplished training center operators a few questions about Athletic Republic, including why they chose us and what they're most proud of.  The answers are worth sharing.

Q: You've created a very successful performance sports training business, and of all you've accomplished makes you feel the most proud?

A: Matt Cole, BlueStreak Sports Training - Stamford, CT

"The really cool part of this business is our ability to change kids lives by teaching them life-skills.  We may train athletes to improve their speed, power and agility, but our greatest gift is helping athletes believe in themselves and teaching them to have the confidence to meet a challenge on and off the field."

 Q. What does your center do really well?

A: Randall Allred, Athletic Republic - Winston-Salem, NC

"Athletic Republic's products and programs allow us to present a very diverse line of training services. We separate ourselves from any competitive offering when we combine our training team's ability to really connect with the athletes and parents. We sincerely care about how our athletes are performing in the training center, on their chosen field-of-play and in the classroom."

Q:  What do you enjoy most about your career?

A: Jeff Seemann, Athletic Republic - Toledo

"I played guard for the University of Toledo; have been involved with elementary school physical education for the past 33 years; serve as the athletic director for my church, and teach Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology at the University of Toledo. I have a passion for teaching athletes how to move their bodies, and Athletic Republic provides me with the assessment, training and video resources to really teach athletes how they can run faster and move better."

Q. What is one piece of advice you would offer a new franchise operator?

A: Dale Huff, Athletic Republic - Frontenac, MO

"Invest in your team. Take the time to hire the right people and train each person so they understand how to contribute to the business' performance as well as the athlete's experience."

Q: What makes Athletic Republic better than all the other training options?

A: Kim Vercillo, Athletic Republic Santa Ana

There are many aspects of our training that hold tremendous value for our clients. First, our attention to each athlete by keeping low athlete to client ratios. This gives us an opportunity to really focus in on each individual and correct specific performance opportunities. Second, measureable results. Although our athletes who train consistently will always see the difference in their athleticism on the field or courts, the objective measurements are always valuable, particularly for the parents who are investing their time and money in a program. Thirdly, SERVICE. Our open, personal, family friendly environment speaks volumes in this fast-paced impersonal world we live in. Parents and athletes both know that we are all in this together.

Q: What makes Athletic Republic better than all the other training options?

A: Darrel Barnes, Athletic Republic - Rancho Cucamonga, CA

One of the major benefits an athlete receives from our training is the vast amount of research and development accomplished by Athletic Republic.  Our training takes the athlete beyond the traditional workout and is able to expose weaknesses and then convert those weaknesses to strengths.  This is accomplished with patented equipment and proprietary training protocols in a controlled environment for a custom training experience for the athlete.  We do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to training, and understand that each athlete will have different physical and motivational needs in order to reach their highest potential.  In a nutshell, we TEST-TEACH-TRAIN.

Q: What is the most rewarding aspect of owning / operating an Athletic Republic franchise?

A: Jason Askew, Avera Sports Institute Athletic Republic – Sioux Falls, SD

I think the most rewarding aspect of operating a center is helping athletes achieve training goals and helping them get to the next level.  The Athletic Republic’s protocols and program are second to none and allow each trainer the ability to target specific areas of an athlete’s training to make them faster and more explosive.  Watching athletes that we trained play on Friday nights, play basketball, run track – it is extremely rewarding for me to know we had a part in their success.
